The Secret Spice
by Ru's News Top Reporter
Throughout the world, many cultures enjoy flaming-hot, spicy delicacies. However many people have forgotten what causes these spicy flavors in the first place. Wild peppers have imps that settle into peppers and make them spicy. Depending on the pepper, many imps would consider it a great home or only a few may find it appealing. Imps are also the pepper's main pollinator because once their old house dies, they understand that they will need a new one. When wild peppers are picked, the imps living inside think that they have been chosen to go to heaven. This is a cruel legend started by our human ancestors that thought only of themselves and the delicious new dishes that they could create with the peppers. What they didn't expect was the power imps have to breath fire once they realize that they are being eaten. These days the imps of the wild have evolved into demons of captivity that can breathe more fire as they die and can live in more cramped conditions. That is how humans have developed spicier peppers than ever before. However, you must be very cautious when eating some of the spicier peppers that humans have developed because too much demon fire scorching your throat can leave nasty burns and can leave scars that cause you to suffocate. Eating those imps' homes is immoral and just not healthy, so next time you are craving peppers stick to a bell pepper that imps would turn their nose up at or have some cinnamon.
