The First Animal Olympics was an amazing success and a number
A Change of Scenery
of the wins shocked everyone in the audience. Arguably the most increadible of the victories was the one performed by Alaska's very own Joey Mower to the dismay of Baaaahb Wool. It was during the first round of the high jump that Baaaahb Wool beat both Robert Toadstool, an African Toad, and George Jumper, the famous Austrailian high jump champion. The audience believed the new world record would forever stay in the hands of that high jumping sheep, but it wasn't fated to be so. As the second round of competitors prepared Wool was already giving his gold medal acceptance speech. No one in the second round even came close to beating his astonishing score of 500 feet. By the third round, Wool was already settling down to watch the third round of the high jump and laugh at his competitors pathetic attempts to measure up when Mower bent his knees and took off through the air. He was 100 feet, then 300 and still climbing. He didn't stop his upward velocity at 600 feet, nor 1000. When the judges proclaimed that Mower had made it over the moon before he came back down, the crowd was astonished. Wool had to return his medal and was thoroughly embarrassed by the scandal. It was the most glorious win of the season. "We can't wait to see the Alaskan Cow Joey Mower at the anticipated long jump next year," said Judge Foxy Tail.
In a surprising turn of events the amazing football team the Tri-Tops found themselves seated among a huge gathering of hard-core basketball basketball fans. They had not been planning on attending the game between the Rhinos and the Rain Clouds, but had a sudden change of plans when their mobile basketball gym broke down. They had to stop their bus and do their best to drag the gym to the nearest gym repair shop. Although the gym was designed to be as light as possible it was still to far to drag the building, so they had to stop in the nearest town. This city happened to be the huge megalopolis that the basketball game was planned to happen. Their arrival at the game was the doing the head of their scheduling committee who believed that it was time the hard-working team deserved a break from their heavy work routine in order to enjoy the excitement that they are always bringing to all of their fans. The team tried their best to relax, but all they could think about was how much they wished they were watching football instead. The head of the scheduling committing however had the time of his life and almost could not tear himself away from the stadium in order to make it to the Tri-Top's next game three weeks later. Ironically, the only thing that the Tri-Top's captain could manage to say through his booming laughter was "I'm glad you stopped us for this wonderful break!"
